The Yamaha Aerox is generally considered to offer better performance due to its sportier nature and more powerful engine. It is equipped with a higher-displacement engine and features like Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology, which enhances power and efficiency.

However, the Yamaha Nmax is often considered more suitable due to its comfortable riding position, spacious storage capacity, and focus on practicality.

The Aerox’s sportier design may make it more appealing to riders looking for agility and style in urban environments. However, the Aerox can still handle long rides with its sporty performance, but it may not offer the same level of comfort and storage capacity as the Nmax. Suzuki Burgman Street, TVS Ntorq 125, Honda PCX and Aprilia SR160 are some of the rivals of the Nmax and the Aerox.

Yamaha Aerox 155 Price, Images, colours, Mileage & Reviews

Yamaha Aerox 155 comes in a standard variant with four colour options all priced at Rs 1,42,800, ex-showroom Delhi. Unlike a traditional scooter, the Yamaha Aerox 155 has a centre spine beneath its floorboard with a fuel reservoir.

Through the Y-connect app you also get to know the last parking location, rev counter, malfunction/maintenance alert and daily/monthly fuel consumption data. Lastly, the Aerox 155 also features idle-start-stop function which shuts the engine off if it’s idling for a prolonged duration.

Yamaha Aerox 155 is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 155cc engine which is borrowed from the popular R15 and MT-15 with an automatic transmission. The scooter is built on an underbone chassis which is suspended on a telescopic front fork and dual shocks at the rear.

What makes the Yamaha Aerox so popular?

These days, scooters have become sportier, more stylish, and more high-tech, thanks to manufacturers paying more attention to the rapidly growing Asian market. Pumping out around 15 horsepower, this engine is both punchy and economical thanks to Yamaha’s Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology, which has been designed to minimize fuel consumption at low RPMs while boosting performance at the upper reaches of the rev range. It gets LED lighting, a fully digital instrument panel, and of course, ample storage space—a feature that has propelled scooters into stardom. The app then showcases all of the bike’s vital information such as service intervals, fuel efficiency, and even on-the-fly engine diagnostics.

The top of the line Aerox S, which comes equipped with Yamaha’s smartphone Bluetooth connectivity feature via the Y-Connect application, comes with a sticker price of P132,900.
