The company already offers the 2021 Aerox in India and thus we expect the 2022 iteration to reach our market later this year. Thus, the 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 continues to pack styling elements such as an apron-mounted twin-pod headlight, a tinted fly-screen, split-style footboard, a step-up seat, a side-sling exhaust, and body-panel-integrated pillion grabrails.
Linked to a CVT gearbox, the motor is tuned to deliver a healthy 14.79bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 13.9Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The suspension tasks on the Aerox 155 are handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin-sided springs at the back.

It continues to feature a twin-pod LED headlamp cluster mounted on the front apron, a small tinted fly screen, a stepped-up single-piece seat, a side-slung upswept exhaust, a split-style footboard and a chunky integrated pillion grab rail. 2022 Aerox 155 offers the same set of features which includes an all-LED illumination and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity that displays phone battery status as well as call, message and email alerts. Coming to its hardware, suspension duties on Aerox 155 are carried out by telescopic forks at front and twin shock absorbers at rear. Powering Aerox is a familiar 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with VVA tech that empowers a number of Yamaha models including R15, MT-15, XSR 155 and NMax 155.

TL;DR: I think this mouse is underrated and deserves more attention from the mainstream sources. If you were considering this mouse but decided not to get it due to bad feet, creaking, mushy buttons and pre-/post-travel issues; this 2022 version fixed basically all of those.
So then, I finally decided to try a SteelSeries product and got this 2022 edition Aerox 3 WL for roughly 80 euros in the Black Friday week.
Its shape can be thought of as the following: Take a GPW/GPX, just squish down the highest point of the hump a bit and spread that flatness towards the back for about 1.5-2 cm.
The sides are more aggressively angled towards the bottom and the rear grip flare is much wider than the front part. If your hand is like 16-17 cm, and if the contours fit, this could be an amazing palm grip shape for you.
I wished its rear tapered off a bit later, in order to provide some more lower palm support, but it was fine and I did not lose control of the mouse. All in all, as long as your hand is in a suitable size, any grip works with this mouse. The feet are upgraded to 100% PTFE and feel super nice, plenty of speed and enough stopping power too.
The build quality seems solid, no creaking, no rattling, no accidental button activation when pushing down on the mouse (the original version had this issue, as reported by many), no rattling and no pre-/post-travel on the main buttons. I can say that the click latency could be slightly longer than the GPW, but that could really be down to the buttons or switches or the debounce delay in the firmware and it’s important to say that it did not affect my gameplay experience whatsoever. The sensor performance also feels good and I did not experience any disconnects, skipping or jaggedness.
I noticed that – especially while aggressively sniping and quickscoping – my short flicks that are between 50-90 degrees were more accurate. Side Note: If you have sweaty hands like me, you’ll probably like the coating and the holes on the mouse.
Another contributor here is the fact that this mouse has holes and I believe it allows your palm to have more airflow, so it sweats less.
In contrast, the optical switches in the Viper Ultimate are superior on the paper, but they feel mushy and muddy, not crisp.
I prefer to have my bindings saved to the keys on my keyboard, so I use only one of the side buttons and that’s just for changing DPI, which is something I do rarely. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice that the GG software offers other features that might be useful to some users, which deserves praise.
But, I personally don’t need those features as I use different programs to achieve the same functionality and I am sure that many users feel the same. In this case, the whole program is just taking up space and using system memory and serving basically no purpose, apart from raising privacy concerns.
Steelseries, please allow us to just install the Engine software alone, we just want to customize our mice. The fact that angle snapping, acceleration/deceleration and sleep/dimming timer adjustments are included just in case someone wants them; that’s just awesome stuff from Steelseries.
I use the mouse at 1000 DPI, 1000 hz polling rate and RGB at 40% brightness with all zones lit in a fixed color. Illumination smart mode was enabled and the mouse goes to sleep after 3 minutes.
This is actually slower than the GPW, which wakes up almost instantly and takes like a second to recogize and apply your profile. So, when you uninstall the software, your DPI and button bindings stay, but the RGB will just cycle through colors. 4- Why the software doesn’t tell me the exact percentage of battery, or the remaining time I have left?
I find this a bit annoying as I assume that this is not a hard thing to add with an update, if the microcontroller in the mouse supports it?
Seriously, which casual gamer would want to spend more to get something in the 130-140 USD price range if this mouse already checks the boxes for them?

But in case you need to warn other road users – the horn, although a single unit and one of the rare ‘Made in India’ parts one could spot on the scooter, is decent enough. The sporty fairing curves in and almost brushes with my knees, causing issues even when slightly sliding forwards, especially when riding to the gym in the morning. Tight braking situations can cause the knee to brush against the mobile storage compartment knocking it open! The seat is decently flat and wide, and though visible grab rails are missing, the shape of the under-seat cowl provides a comfortable grip for the pillion. The addition of small light and the provision of a charging point here (instead of the front compartment) could have made it even better. Even then, I believe the official figure is calculated towards the front of the seat, whereas the taller riders among us have to sit as further back as the two-stepped design allows.
It sure feels tall and I do like it because I can see ahead of hatchbacks, sedans and even some crossovers, and this reduces some tension while riding in traffic. However, the space isn’t too bad and I have room to move my feet a bit, even wearing large Woodland shoes.

Once seated, the stance is comfortable – and I could ride 6.5 hours without getting body pains. That said, the story isn’t all positive and there is one serious shortcoming, especially for the taller riders among us – and that is legroom. Has not affected her confidence level though, thanks to the excellent weight distribution of the scooter. The low handlebar combined with the taller seat height – results in you sitting with the arms down, rather than in a 90-degree position.
