Yamaha Aerox 155 Price

The Yamaha Aerox 155 is packed with interesting and attractive features like VVA-equipped Engine, LCD Instrument Console, front disc brakes and so on. The central spine of the bike runs high along the floorboard, which is not flat in shape and therefore, space is limited. The underseat storage capacity of the bike is 24.5 litres, which is still inadequate to store a full-face helmet.

The bike features an LCD instrument console paired with a REV counter and the display shows adequate information including trip metre, odometer, fuel consumption readouts.

The acceleration of this bike is linear and the rider can reach triple digit speed in no time, without any effort. Under normal city conditions, the scooter has ample power to keep ahead of many other two-wheeled commuters and on the highway, the Yamaha Aerox 155 settles into a steady cruise. Powered by a 155cc, four-valve, single cylinder engine, the Yamaha Aerox 155 features a VVA (Variable Valve Actuation). The pillion seat of the scooter gives the feeling of a motorcycle, positioned higher up, and may take a while before the rider gets used to mounting it.

The headlights and the tail-lights of the scooter make up the LED unit and it also integrates a fully-digital instrumentation. The digital cluster displays a good deal of information including fuel consumption and trip-related data, along with a tachometer and VVA indicator. Controls for music playback and on-screen navigation instructions are unavailable in this model, but it still comes with SMS and call alerts. Being an affordable street commuting bike, this scooter is a must-buy for anyone looking for convenient and quick city transport.

Masters of mileage: Aerox vs. NMax

Its riding position, albeit comfortable, puts the rider in a more relaxed and upright stance, thus increasing drag. As it is with cars, motorcycles with larger and wider tires tend to consume more power as they are heavier and have more rolling resistance. Smaller and thinner tires are lighter and more nimble making them better suited for riders who care about fuel efficiency.

According to Makki Lusterio, owner of one souped-up Yamaha Aerox, “before the engine swap and the transmission (CVT) tuning, I typically get around 43 kilometers per meter.” Aside from the ECU, Mendoza slapped a slew of accessories on his scooter which in most cases, can also affect a motorcycle’s fuel efficiency. Based on these numbers, we’ve found that the Yamaha Aerox is slightly better than the NMax in terms of fuel efficiency.

As the owners have put it, the Mio Aerox is built for better cornering and improved speed while the NMax is designed for cruising and touring.
